Mimo; Money-in and Money-out, was founded in early 2023 to become the one tool for global payments, cash flow management & financing. Mimo empowers small to medium businesses to save time and money, with full control of their finances. Since the beginning, we've maintained high velocity, released a private beta, expanded to +15 team members, and secured funding from elite angels and top institutional investors. However, we've only just begun.

The Head of Compliance role at Mimo:
We are hiring a Head of Compliance based in London, UK. You will be acting as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), and be responsible for the overall payments and lending compliance program in the UK. You will be building compliance frameworks and processes, liaising with and reporting to the FCA, and assess regulatory compliances risk the business is exposed to.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee our financial crime policy framework and program, ensuring alignment with UK regulations, including AML, CTF, Sanctions, KYC/CDD, and EDD.

• Lead the work for Mimo to acquire an EMI-license.

• Be an integral part of product development and ensuring that we deliver a fantastic customer experience while staying compliant.

• While we grow the UK team, act as interim data protection officer.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience as an MLRO or in a senior compliance role within a growing FinTech / regulated institution.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory payment frameworks and experience building compliance frameworks

• Previous experience in a startup or rapidly scaling environment.

• A desire to be part of a journey to build an iconic FinTech in UK (and soon across EU).
