What is Mimo?
Mimo, short for Money-In and Money-Out, was founded in early 2023 to become the go-to tool for global payments, cash flow management, and financing. Our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to save time and money while maintaining control over their finances. Since inception, we’ve achieved significant milestones: launching our product, growing to 15+ team members, and securing funding from elite angels and top institutional investors. But this is just the beginning.

What Will I Be Doing?
We seek someone to build and support Mimo’s Finance, Credit & Risk function. You will report directly to the Head of Finance, Credit & Risk, building out a varied function that helps drive Mimo’s growth. A start-up environment is dynamic and requires flexibility, and this role provides a unique opportunity to engage with diverse problem areas, products, features, and roles. It's a great way to understand the business, serving as a launchpad for future career development and further specialisation in fintech.

Specifically, you will contribute to scaling Mimo’s lending proposition in the UK market and beyond. You’ll tackle diverse problems—both financial and technical—while gaining a comprehensive understanding of how our business operates. In your day-to-day you’ll

  • Build and maintain tools & processes to effectively scale Mimo’s lending offering

  • Leverage internal and external data to build out a comprehensive SME credit model

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of Mimo’s customers

  • Develop, implement and manage robust systems and processes to prevent financial crime as well as conduct customer due-diligence

  • Support the organisation on matters relating to finance, credit & risk, including financial modelling & delivering business insights

Who You Are

We are looking for someone analytical, business-minded, ambitious, and fun, who is passionate about pursuing a career in fintech. You will need a gritty startup mentality and a keen interest in the intersection of finance, data, technology, and the operational challenges required for a fintech to thrive. The role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your skill set and accelerate your career through exposure to various projects and domains.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • A Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, mathematics or statistics.

  • Proficiency in analysing financial statements with a core understanding of what drives risks

  • Proficiency in working with data using SQL and Python or similar tools such as R and Matlab, or other coding languages.

  • Prior professional experience in a related industry, business, or sector.

  • You are curious about the fintech & startup space and eager to make an impact.

What We Offer

  • Founding Team: Join a small, highly skilled team of product builders. We are currently an 18 people strong team, with offices located in central Stockholm and London.

  • This is a full-time position based in Stockholm

  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary.

  • Vacation: Enjoy six weeks of annual paid vacation.

  • Stock Options: Benefit from our generous stock option programme.
